Hanging Vase

'Chun' Glaze, Stoneware

The temperamental nature of the chun glaze means that the surface colour and texture of every vase will be unique. These little 'Boxes' can be hung on the wall by the neat Japanese 'Hanaire' ring. A friend brought them back for me from Japan and I loved them, and determined to make a vase to use them on. this was the result.

Also shown, a porcelain vase with an ash glaze with tenmoku drip.
