Masterclasses
Classes Running
in 2010.
Big Pot Making:
21st - 23rd August: Full
27th - 29th August: 2 places available.

Ill
be imparting techniques for centering larger amounts of clay, warming
up (!) with 5kg and working up to 10kg and then building with thrown
coils. In this workshop well use stoneware, as preparing large
amounts of porcelain is so time-consuming. The techniques are all applicable
to porcelain, though as you can see. This is 30kg of porcelain.
Classes From September Onwards:
The next class available at my studio in
Tythegston will be in September. If you are interested in a class from
September onwards, please email
me to join the waiting list
The
classes are suitable for all levels of experience. The classes are unusually
small - I have only 3 or a maximum of 4 students. This means
that everyone gets a lot of individual attention and detailed throwing
instruction. I can cover whatever you want to learn, rather than having
a set programme.
I
will be holding classes throughout the year. As the groups are so small,
they are arranged to suit those who express an interest. If you are
interested in coming to one please email
or telephone on the numbers below to join the waiting list. If a class
has been arranged and there are places left, I will of course be posting
available places on the website.
Email
me or phone on 01656 784021 / 788731 if you are interested in coming
to a class. Cost is £84 per day.

Marina
had this to say:
'I still can't tell you how much it meant to have two days
of your wonderful generosity and how much it has sparked me into thinking in another
ways about pottery and my own style of pottery. I wouldn't say that it was a great
course. I would rather say that it is a great course that stays with you forever.
Many
many thanks again. I am looking forward to enjoying your teaching and your company
again in the new year.
If you don't mind I will send you some photographs
of the prototypes that I am working on. Your teaching has made them easier, more
stylish and more 'flowing' to make.
Many thanks again. You are a great teacher'
